CompassPoint works to unlock our collective power to build new worlds and liberate our communities. We help folks shift their understanding and analysis of leadership away from individual privileges and towards collective responsibility. Through our public offerings, peer networks, and organizational capacity-building work, we help participants to challenge themselves, be vulnerable with one another, and embrace new ideas to expand their understanding and deepen their practice of leadership and justice.

We are committed to building and conspiring with other nonprofit workers as we uproot oppressive systems and plant seeds for the relationships and work cultures that sustain ourselves and empower our communities to grow and flourish.

We are an unapologetically pro-Black organization rooted in our values and committed to shifting power. We believe the world as it exists is not the world we have to accept. We are building toward a future where race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, citizenship, age, and education are never barriers to dignity and wholeness; and we know creating that future requires courage, creativity, love, joy, and collective action. We believe a better world is possible and that it will require all of us to take bold risks and activate our creativity to collectively build it.

That doesn't mean we don't often fall short of that goal! We know that living into these commitments is not easy. We fall short, we make mistakes, and we are constantly learning alongside one another. This work is challenging and often messy - it requires vulnerability, care, and a willingness to prioritize relationships through moments of conflict, tension, and struggle.
