FREE ME FROM LUNG CANCER

Free ME from Lung Cancer was foundined in 2012. Since than we have two major events each year ~ a live auction/dinner in October and a Save Your Brath 5k in November. We have funded two $100,000 research grants partnering with the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer who matched our funds bringin our total research to $400,000. We have also funded 23 low dose ct scans to high risk uninsured patients and helped one homeowner get access to a radon air abatement system. We are currently working with the Maine Community Action Program to help identify more homeowners that could beneift form our radon air abatment systems. We are a small nonprofit looking to grow to help those in need of our services and reseachers find a cure for this disease. Lung cancer is the leading cause of death from cancer and is woefully underfunded.
