A Story
Teacher: “Two wolves live inside each of us – a good wolf and a bad wolf. Throughout our lives they are constantly in battle.”
Youth: “Which wolf wins?” Teacher: “The one you feed.”
Feeding Our Good Wolves
From neuroscience and related fields, we know how to feed our good wolves. We understand much of what’s required for healthy persons, vibrant communities, and a more sustainable world.
Good Wolf
Good Wolf, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, is committed to the translation of what we know about ourselves from neuroscience into actionable understanding to promote individual, family, and community thriving, and to build a better world.
We identify, build consensus, and translate neuroscience knowledge into practical understanding. We promote application of that knowledge with effective curricula and communication, facilitating empowerment of individuals, families, and communities. And we support individuals, programs, organizations, and public policies that move us toward a better and more sustainable world.
Good Wolf is currently engaged in a demonstration project in a major human services organization in the New York area, developing ways to teach neuroscience to non-scientists as an avenue to personal growth and cultural transformation. What we are learning will lay the groundwork for our future work with individuals, communities, organizations, and leaders and policy-makers who want better lives and to help build a better world.
