American Red Cross Northern Nevada Chapter

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We respond to hundreds of disasters in Northern Nevada every year, with the majority of those being home fires. The Red Cross provides material, financial, mental, and other assistance to those affected. We also work to help active duty service members, veterans, and their families through our Services to the Armed Forces. This is in addition to the hundreds of free smoke detectors we install every year, the free disaster preparedness programs we offer, and the myriad of other services we provide to the community.
