Roots International was founded September of 2012 by Scott Montgomery prior to moving from the United States to Africa. You can read more about Scott Montgomery here. During 2013, Roots International plans to identify and begin projects in East Africa. By addressing problems at their root and also recognizing that “example is not a major factor in influencing others, it is the only factor” (Albert Einstein) large and lasting impacts will be acheived with meager resources. Currently an agriculture project is being planned in North Uganda while resources and capacity is built to support the work.
