MCJAC recruits, trains, and matches volunteers to local organizations to fill the gaps that have been identified through needs assessments. A recent assessment showed an observable need for gap coverage in areas such as job search and coaching, transportation, mentoring, case and crisis management, tutoring, and transition-age services. If a person volunteers to take on a necessary role in a young person’s life, the youth will have more opportunities to reach favorable outcomes.
