To empower vulnerable youth and women through sports, education, and skills development, fostering social inclusion, personal growth, and sustainable livelihoods.
Who We Are
Youth Social Sports Organization (YOSSO) is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary organization headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We are committed to empowering vulnerable youth, particularly young women, through sports and education to improve their quality of life.
Our Vision
To create an inclusive society where youth and women have equal opportunities to thrive and be empowered through sports, education, and skills development.
What We Do
At YOSSO, we believe in the power of sports to drive social change. Our programs integrate sports, life skills training, and entrepreneurship to equip youth with the tools they need to succeed. Some of our key projects include:
✅ Ajira Kupitia Michezo – Focused on creating employment through sports, this initiative trains youth in sports coaching, business skills, and personal development, helping them turn their passion into career opportunities.
✅ Vijana Shupavu Project – A structured football program engaging youth ( girls and boys), providing them with training, mentorship, and education to develop leadership and employability skills.
✅ Girls’ Sports Empowerment – Through our Ukombozi Primary School sports center, we provide football training to young girls, encouraging their participation in sports and education.
