Misión
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program’s mission is to promote and ensure that residents of long-term care facilities in Idaho, have timely access to advocacy, mediation, and education to ensure their rights are honored.
Vision:
Our vision is that all individuals living with in long-term care facilities in Idaho will experience adequacy of care received, and the maximum possible quality of life. That all resident’s health, safety, welfare, and rights will be honored.
Acerca de
Ombudsman advocates for residents of nursing homes, and other adult care facilities. We work to resolve problems individual residents face and effect change at the local, state, and national levels to improve the quality of life and care all individuals receiving in long-term care.
- Promotes and advocates for the well-being and quality of life for residents in long-term facilities through regular visits.
- Physical, verbal, or mental abuse, deprivation of necessary services to maintain residency.
- Provide education about resident rights and person-centered principles.
- Provide support for the development of resident and family councils.
Benefits of Volunteering! Connecting with others, making a difference in the lives of residents in long term care facilities, and sharing and/or learning new skills. Volunteer build upon their own unique skill set while building relationships and learning new skills.
