Guys With Ties Philanthropy

Guys with Ties (GWT) was formed seven years ago by eight young, professional men that wanted to make a difference in Central Florida by utilizing their community ties in order to give back to the area. By planning and hosting an average of four themed events each year, they attract young professionals-alike to raise money for local charities. The current board members have a variety of career backgrounds, including a prosecutor, a few civil attorneys, a business development executive with the Orlando Magic, an advertising and marketing firm owner, a doctor, an architect, sales representatives, a pro wakeboarder, an executive event director for a large charity, and a world-champion kickboxer. GWT is powered entirely by volunteers -- those of us who operate GWT receive no compensation of any kind.

GWT’s mission is to raise funds for charitable organizations by hosting great events. We have hosted benefit events for the Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Camp Boggy Creek, The Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, Susan G. Komen, Page 15, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The American Cancer Society, The Central Florida Stroke Association, B.A.S.E. Camp, Kids House, UCP of Central Florida, BETA Center, Easter Seals of Florida, Special Olympics of Florida and Autism Speaks. To this date, we have raised over $100,00.00 total, for these charities.
