El Regalo

The "El Regalo" self-learning school opened in 2022 in the remote location of Cabo de la Vela - Colombia. It was built by Gabriel Muscalu and Havier Gallegos. Building the school was inspired by Sugata Mitra's project called "The Hole in the Wall" and the Burning Man Principles. This is a personal project and is not associated with any company, organization, or NGO. 

Helping others is not one of our primordial needs but sometimes is a desire that sticks forever into our hearts and becomes a way of living. 

I googled this question: "how can you solve children's hunger" 

(after watching the movie "El regreso") and the obvious answer is: 

Education and School Meals - Providing all school-aged children with proper education is one of the most effective ways of ensuring that they don't face hunger as adults. By providing kids with the knowledge and skills to procure jobs, education prepares them to be self-sufficient in the real world.

We have black holes of education in the slums, shanty towns, or poor areas.

The only aid in nurturing future generations is the self-learning schools and tools

We provide access to a free school that is open for everyone willing to develop questions and learn how to answer them using the power of the internet. 

The learning process always starts with the need to acquire knowledge and has the root inside the questions we have.

Often the school is associated with a gray institution that children are obliged to attend. In our self-learning school, the children are the professors and teach each other what they love to learn.
