Environment Northeast (ENE) is a non-profit environmental advocacy and research organization working to implement innovative solutions to the region’s environmental and energy challenges while promoting sustainable economies. ENE is at the forefront of state and regional efforts to combat global warming with solutions that promote clean energy, clean air and healthy forests. ENE has played a leadership role in the passage of precedent-setting energy and climate legislation in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island; the pledges of Northeastern states to spend millions of dollars to clean up their diesel bus fleets; implementation of the RGGI cap and trade program; and development of forest carbon policy.
