Misión
Kitchen Cred cultivates self-confidence, life skills, and a healthy lifestyle in middle- and high-school students. We accomplish this through out-of-school programs that empower youth through nutrition knowledge and kitchen competency. Our values include Respect, Teamwork, Community Service, Positive Attitude and Caring.
Acerca de
Kitchen Cred is an interactive educational program that empowers adolescents in Greater Philadelphia with tools and recipes for life. Under the guidance of culinary professionals, teens learn about cooking, food safety, nutrition, and food economics, while cultivating self-esteem, leadership and teamwork skills. The outcome is happier, healthier teens and communities.
To increase its impact, Kitchen Cred partners with community groups, chefs, educators, corporations, and other nonprofit agencies.
In 2012 Independence Blue Cross selected Kitchen Cred from over 150 applicants as winner of the IBX Game Changers Challenge, a competition seeking innovative solutions to improve the Philadelphia region's health and wellness.
