Brooklyn A (Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A)

Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A (Brooklyn A) has provided high-quality, neighborhood based civil legal services to low-income individuals, families, community groups, and nonprofit organizations in Brooklyn for over forty-four years.

Established in 1968 as part of the federally-funded legal services program, Brooklyn A embraces the value that lawyers have in combating poverty. We endorse the idea that legal services programs are responsible to low-income communities, and are thus charged with the responsibility of identifying, understanding their needs, participating in addressing the problems confronting those communities.
