St. Luke's Hospice Services is a part of St. Luke's Hospital: Mission Statement: Faithful to our Episcopal-Presbyterian heritage, and its ministry of healing, St. Luke's Hospital is dedicated to improving the health of the community. Using talents and resources responsibly, our medical staff, employees and volunteers provide care for the whole person with compassion, professional excellence and respect for each other and those we serve. Acerca de
Hospice affirms life and recognizes death as a normal life process. Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice seeks to find meaning in every phase of life --- life that can best be realized in the home. Hospice services are designed to comfort the patient, not treat the disease. After a death, our hospice team also provides an extensive period of bereavement support for the family and caregivers that promotes positive expressions of grief and grief recovery for the family.
