Over the past decade, our Executive Director, Kayla Corbitt, has worked tirelessly collecting stories, building trust in the military community, and speaking out for military families struggling with employment, food insecurity, chronic debt, mental health struggles, and housing shortages. Kayla began her work with military families after an OCONUS stationing in which she noticed that the only spouses working were those without children or with school-aged children.
The Operation Child Care Project offers case management to military and veteran families so they know what their options are. We offer the first scholarship program not tied up in red tape, and when we advocate, we do so with the stories families offer. When solutions are needed for the military community, it is the military community that should decide what help looks like.
