Urban Sanctuary is a progressive spiritual community creating safe and brave spaces to explore beliefs and practices with freedom and courage. We are people gathered to be in recovery from and resistance to the dominant culture.
UrSa is seeking to develop a Center for Spirituality, Arts and Activism where where artists, community organizers and people rooted in spiritual practices are engaged with issues that inspire them. Where the day to day work of community organizing is sustained through restorative spiritual practices. Where the marginalized become leaders as they discover their voice, their gifts and the power to influence change.
