The Consortium for Child Welfare (CCW) is an association for not-for-profit social service agencies which deliver critical assistance to children who suffer from abuse and neglect in the District of Columbia. Formed in 1980, CCW’s mission is to develop, strengthen, and improve services to children and families in the DC child welfare system. CCW strives to accomplish this mission by: • Advocating for the rights and needs of children • Strengthening and supporting member agencies • Facilitating, developing, and promoting innovation in the coordination of resources and services • Serving as a collaborative forum for innovative public/private partnerships • Promoting and advocating for the highest standards of practice for children, youth, and family services • Monitoring local and national program development efforts and systems reform initiatives
