Our Mission

Here at the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice, our mission is to do good, seek justice and defend the oppressed to reduce the health disparities and social injustices in Central Florida.

What We Believe

We believe that we can change the world when we come together and work enthusiastically to accomplish common goals.

What We Do

We build and sustain coalitions that systematically and innovatively reduce health inequities and social injustices within the Central Florida region.

We leverage our collective voice to change and develop policies that impact health disparities and social injustices.

We utilize cross sectoral collaborations in order to develop programs and initiatives that reduce health disparities.

We utilize research in order to: uncover health disparities and social injustices present within our region; uncover root causes of health disparities and social injustices; and determine, develop and implement evidence based solutions.
