Hope of South Texas, Inc.

The mission of Hope of South Texas, Inc., a children's advocacy center, is to reduce the trauma of child abuse by assisting in the investigation, assessment, prosecution, and treatment of the child (and non-offending family members). The Direct Services Program begins with receiving and reviewing reports of abuse and neglect which aid in the coordination of joint investigations. The process continues with a forensic interview, which is conducted by a highly qualified team member. There is a continuum of care throughout the process with support from Family Advocates and Clinicians practicing specialized trauma treatment. We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to support the child with the care of DFPS (Child Protective Services), law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals, and counselors. Hope of South Texas is the component of the multidisciplinary model that promotes child-centered healing through alleviating stress related to the investigative process by providing trauma-informed advocacy and therapy. Our focus is to create a comfortable and safe space for every child who enters our doors.
