The mission of the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula is to keep Missoula County’s history alive for the education and enjoyment of the public
We are the Missoula County Museum. We tell the stories of Missoula County and Western Montana, including homesteading, forestry, the history of Fort Missoula, the African American 25th Infantry Bicycle Soldiers, the WWII Alien Detention Center and much more. Each year we have 3,000 adults and school children visit through organized tours as well as many more casual visitors.
