The mission of the Connecticut Children’s Museum (CCM) is to provide children, their families, and teachers with innovative and inclusive educational programs that are arts- and literacy-based, multiple intelligences-inspired, rich in resources, and rooted in the community. We are an independent non-profit organization comprised of two connected entities: the Connecticut Children’s Museum and its community programs and Creating Kids Childcare Center. Creating Kids Childcare Center (CK) is a full time, year-round, not-for-profit childcare center established in 1994. CK is dedicated to serving the needs of children and their families in an urban setting. The center has a total enrollment of 32 children each year, from infants to pre-kindergarteners. Children spend their day with a small group in a stimulating environment designed for learning and loving and creative exploration. CK is an approved site for the New Haven School Readiness Program and the Care4Kids Program; both of which subsidize quality childcare spaces for local families. Creating Kids is NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited.
