Family Mental Health Institute

The Family Mental Health Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to help the women and their families suffering from Post Partum Depression and other Perinatal Psychiatric Disorders(PPD). We want to establish routine depression screening for all pregnant and new mothers as a national standard of care. We want all pregnant and new mothers to know they have a 1 in 5 chance of acquiring this very serious disorder and, at present, they have only a 13% chance of getting treatment. We want it known that treatment is safe and very effective. We wish to involve mothers who have survived the disorder PPD MOMS(tm) to help other new mothers.
