BOOKS ARE GEMS
Misión
Books Are GEMS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire children and empower families through literacy. We serve the low income families in El Paso, Texas.
Acerca de
Our vision is to see a book in the hand of every child in our community. By putting a book into the hand of every child in our community, we are changing lives one book at a time. Our goal is to make books easily accessible to all children and their parents, thereby increasing literacy, fluency and comprehension in both children and their parents. Our main program is our bookstore program, "6 Free Books!". This program allows us to give 1 new book and 5 gently used books each month to every child that comes into our store at no cost to the families.
