The Friends of the Domaine de Chantilly (FODC) (www.fodchantilly.org) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and philanthropic support for the Domaine de Chantilly, a prestigious landmark site and museum located in France. It promotes a wider knowledge of Chantilly and engages an international community of benefactors who are committed to preserving its historic castle, world-class art collection, beautiful gardens, and stables.
Since its inception, FODC has contributed to several key programs at Chantilly, including outstanding exhibitions, the conservation of precious works of art, the creation of a new Gallery of Prints and Drawings, and most recently, the renovation of a unique suite of 19th-centuries galleries. In the coming months and years, it will help enhance the historic gardens and restore the Great Stables as well as continue to fund exhibitions, publications and artwork restoration.
FODC also organizes exciting events designed to showcase Chantilly's stunning collections, aspects of its rich history or major initiatives in progress. They include private curator-led visits or behind-the-scenes tours, lectures by renowned scholars, and festive meals and receptions as well as high profile fundraising events. These programs take place both in France and in the U.S., and are attended by an international group of guests comprised of art collectors, philanthropists, business and community leaders, and of course, Francophiles.
