REFLECTIONS OF MANATEE INC

-Reflections is dedicated to educating the public about all the peoples who have explored, settled, lived, and worked along this section of the Manatee River. We conduct informational archaeology programs for adults, host field trips for school children, and conduct many demonstrations both onsite and around Florida.

-The Curry Houses Historic District in Bradenton, Florida, features three homes built by or for the extended family of Captain John Curry who purchased 30 acres of land, including a fresh water spring, from Dr. Franklin Branch.

-National Registry of Historic Places: Manatee Mineral Springs Park

- The Theodosia Curry House (1925): Exhibit "Freedom Seekers at the Manatee". The Mary Amelia Curry House (circa 1860): an exhibit center. The Manatee Room currently hosts an exhibit about the early settlement, including artifacts found during archaeological investigations. The "Archaeology of Freedom" exhibit highlights the excavations for Angola including a 3D model of the excavation’s stratigraphy. The Samuel G. and Amanda Curry House (circa 1860): a historic house with furnishings from the 1800s.
