Warrior Spirit Project (WSP) is an ALL-VOLUNTEER organization that was founded in 2015. The premise behind WSP is that a broken spirit can be more harmful than a broken body. We believe that Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) is not a disorder to be managed, but is an injury receptive to healing. We take a holistic, evidence-based approach that helps restore the soul and strengthen the spirit of Veterans and First Responders with PTS and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Our primary goals are to build community while administering our program services and to be highly accessible to all Veterans and First Responders in need of what we have to offer. Everything we do is FREE for those we serve.
We do this through three primary programs:
Steady Warriors - Trauma-sensitive Yoga and meditation classes
Pit Bull Partners Rescue Mission - Companion and emotional support dog program that takes at-risk veterans and first responders into our partner animal shelter to train and socialize adoptable rescued pit bulls
GOOD to GrOw - Community gardens, neighborhood gardens, and dog-friendly spirit-strengthening opportunities
