BOONE COUNTY COUNCIL ON AGING

2023 is the Boone County Council on Aging's 50th Anniversary year!!!! We offer the following services and more: We have Information and Assistance specialists that provide free assistance with Federal and State Programs that benefit older adults. We offer transportation: Bus rides are available to all residents of Boone County regardless of age. Door-to-door service and connections with RMTD are available. We have a medical escort car available to assist with medical rides to adjoining counties, Fare is 50¢ per mile and reservations are required. Call for details: 815-975-9059. We have a Caregiver Program where our caregiversassist with household chores and personal care. Our Keenage Center is a place where seniors can belong, volunteer, do many activities and share a meal.Our Lending Closet maintains a variety of canes, walkers, commodes, shower benches/chairs, wheelchairs, and transfer chairs to loan out. We have a Social Call Program where volunteers will call elderly people who have expressed that they are socially isolated and/or lonely. We understand that loneliness is a health concern.
