GREATER PROVIDENCE YMCA

PYS serves students in Out of School Time (OST) from 10 elementary schools throughout Providence. PYS also offers summer learning programs at our branch location on Broad Street, as well as day camp for ages 3 years old to 9th grade at Camp Ok-Wa-Nessett. Along with our OST programs, our branch is also home to our community room, and space for our community partners to meet and contribute to the success and development of our neighborhood.

PYS is also the home to the Y’s mobile outreach component - Y on the Move. The Y on the Move van travels throughout the area engaging youth and families of Providence in health and wellness activities that increase their physical fitness and help them combat the growing epidemic of childhood obesity and other related illnesses while having fun in a safe, supervised environment.
