Future Generations Graduate School offers an innovative MA in Applied Community Change with concentrations in Peacebuilding and Conservation. This Master's is designed for professional and aspiring development workers who seek to deepen their skills for community change. This is an interdisciplinary degree which builds a theoretical and cross-cultural perspective in core topics of primary health, nature conservation, peacebulidng, and leadership and management. Issues of women's empowerment and poverty alleviation are cross-cutting themes.

Our unique pedagogy allows students to remain in their own countries and to continue serving their own communities without having to relocate. They leave only one month per term to join peers and faculty at residential sites in India, the U.S., Peru, and Nepal where they get first hand experience in community development. Throughout the two year program, students also work on an applied practicum project in their communities.

The Graduate School is an outgrowth of the community-led development work of its parent organization, Future Generations. Operating since 1992, with programs in China, India, Afghanistan Peru, and the U.S., Future Generations has been a leading innovator in community-led development. Both organizations share a common missions statement: "Future Generations teaches and enables a process of equitable community change that integrates environmental conservation with development."
