Emmett Till Interpretive Center
Acerca de
Since 2007 the Emmett Till Memorial Commission has
worked to tell the story of Emmett Till as a way to pursue racial
reconciliation. Starting with a community apology on the front steps of the courthouse, where in 1955 the murders of Emmett Till were set free. From 2007 until 2015 the organization raised enough funds to restore the courthouse to the character of 1955 and opened the Emmett Till Interpretive Center as a way to tell the truth and engage in conversations that move people forward.
