Each activity and event we provide for the children and their families is meant to spur on excitement and restore hope for the future. Every month our calendar of events has opportunities such as private movie screenings, sports events, live children's theatre, car racing, the circus, the zoo, concerts and much, much more. They sound simple enough--but for a family in the middle of their child's medical crisis, these events offer a great deal more than the event itself. They provide much needed relief during a stressful and scary period; a return to normalcy, even for just a few hours. The events offer quality time for the family to be together and strengthen their relationships, instead of being ripped apart as it often occurs. Also, there's a chance to create wonderful family memories during a time that brings much to forget. Finally, the events provide a chance for the family to get together with other families just like their own, who truly understand what they are going through.
