The Children's Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in Texas with chapters in Houston and Austin. Our mission is 'Enriching the lives of children and building communities with music, music instruction and scholarship'. We fulfill our mission by giving musical instruments and music lessons to children who wouldn't otherwise have access. All we ask of participants is that they 'Play it forward!' by teaching someone else what we've taught them so the music moves from person to person, community to community. We work with children in shelters and hospitals, and alongside other community organizations that serve children in need.
