Mission Statement

Independent Support Services is a non-profit agency that provides support services to people with developmental disabilities. ISS is dedicated to providing person-centered, community integrated services that utilize the most progressive service delivery designs.

ISS is determined to advocate for the individual with a developmental disability and not have a conflict of interest by also being a direct provider of habilitation services in its Medicaid Service Coordination program.

ISS also believes in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to make choices and decisions concerning their lives and to reach their fullest capabilities and achieve personal fulfillment.

Supporting Self-Determination in service delivery design and in helping individuals with developmental disabilities fulfill their dreams and build positive personal relationships is supported through its role as a Fiscal Employer Agent.
