Extra Table is a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger by providing food pantries and soup kitchens with the new and healthy food they need to feed the hungry in their community.

There exists in Mississippi the nations largest number of documented food insecure individuals. Emergency food pantries are quickly becoming a concept of the past as long-term food needs are becoming the new norm. An astounding 28.3% of Mississippi’s children are receiving a school breakfast and a school lunch, and are then going to bed hungry each night.* Short falls in food are pervading the lives of 56% of individuals aged 65 and older, while hunger across the United States is only on the rise.* Not only is Extra Table filling the gap in Mississippi, but we are also compelled to provide healthy, nutrient dense products to those in need across the country. The foods we provide to soup kitchens and food pantries contain low-sugar fruits, lean proteins, whole grains, and no high fructose corn syrup. While driving down hunger, we’re simultaneously driving down obesity by getting healthy foods into the hands of those who need it most.

We’ve started to end hunger in Mississippi, and we’re growing everyday. The coming years promise growth and expansion into the rest of Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Tennessee and hopefully more! We’re heading your way. One day we hope to be in every state helping fill hungry bellies.
