The club was organized to provide emergency communications for Kent County, Maryland; public service communications for the community; and to provide training and testing for people interested in obtaining an amateur radio license.
Along with our close work with Kent County Office of Emergency Services, it’s been our intention to offer free local communications for Public Service Events in the County.
In the past we have supported the Multiple Sclerosis Bike Tour and Walkathon and annually have provided communications for the Chestertown Tea Party along with having a special events station on display, and also the biannual Rock Hall Triathlon and the Chester River Challenge.
