Navjyothi Seva Samithi is a registered NGO based in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, that concentrates on slums and villages, where the poorest of the poor who are deprived of the basic needs, live. With a humble beginning in the year 1995, it was able to make tremendous influence in the minds of the individuals of the downtrodden society which was plunged in social evils like alcoholism, drug addiction, prostitution, child abuse, etc.
We run a non-formal tamil medium school for the children aged 3 to 10 from the slums. We provide them study materials, uniform dress and food, everything for free.
We provide rice and dhal to the poor aged widows from the slums, who don't have anybody to depend on. For further details please log on to www.navjyothi.org
