Mission

M:X expands the range and accessibility of music education offerings throughout Miami Dade County Public Schools. We engage 150+ students in free after-school music programming. Our sites are located in district-identified neighborhoods where students benefit from having a safe place to be after school each day. We believe in the power of community and know that authentic family engagement leads to transformational outcomes for our students. We seek to improve music instruction across MDCPS through hiring and investing in the professional development of MDCPS Music Educators. We collaborate with district leaders, principals, teachers and parents to elevate the role of music education as a tool for driving academic excellence. Every child has a right to an exceptional music education.
