RaisingHealth aims to support and sustain the well-being of immigrant communities through culturally-competent health, education, and community-building programs across communities.

The Academy of Medical & Public Health Services was founded in 2010 in response to the challenges that our founders faced as first-generation children who struggled with personal family losses that reflected the stark realities of the healthcare system facing immigrant families. The goal was to create a safe space that could help immigrants access equitable healthcare, language support, and decision-making power, regardless of immigration status, in a way that these families never had when they were ill.

Renamed RaisingHealth in 2022, we continue to support and sustain the well-being of immigrant communities through culturally-competent health, education, and community-building programs across communities.
