La Casa De Mayten

LCDM provides diverse opportunities and alternatives for people in very neglected communities in Chincha, Peru, an area that was devastated by an earthquake in 07, to develop initiatives that help them meet their basic needs. We provide an array of free services but our corner stone is the offering of creative -educational workshops to constructively fight ignorance, violence, illiteracy, poverty, and encourage critical and creative thinking that lead to actions and movilize locals to improve their own lives and communities using resources available to them. We organize, teach, introduce and help build different initiatives identified as priority by locals and work with them to develop them and make them a reality using our community resources. We teach, build, create, learn, connect, meanignfully interact and affect each other through comitted work, openess, honest self evaluations, and lots of love.
