Wharton Dual Language Academy

Students from all walks of life come to WDLA for its challenging dual language immersion, advanced curriculum, and creative and culturally informed learning experience. WDLA is a special place where 50% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch and nearly 45% are learning English as a second language. In 2022, WDLA earned an A+ rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in recognition of outstanding student and teacher achievements. Funds raised from the spring gala will help offset the cost of maintaining WDLA’s International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, support teacher training, and bring special programs to students like Writers in the Schools (WITS) and chamber and jazz music encounters from DACAMERA.
