The Hospice Program provides symptom management and support to patients and families facing a terminal illness. This care is provided through an interdisciplinary team. This team consists of the family physician, Hospice nurses, social workers, pastoral support, and volunteers. Nursing services. The services are often provided in the patient's home. If there is a need for respite care or acute symptom management, a 12-bed inpatient Hospice facility is available. The Hospice Care Center was built with the strong support and generous dontations of the community. The Hospice Program serves patients who have been diagnosed as entering the last six months of an incurable disease. This program provides support to the family through this process and up to one year following the death of the loved one.
