Kid One Transport System, Inc

For Kid One, the mission is simple: to transport children and expectant mothers to needed medical care. Since 1997, Kid One has been fulfilling this mission as the only 501 (c) (3) nonprofit of its kind in the state of Alabama.

We are an organization committed to removing transportation as a barrier to quality health care throughout the state of Alabama. Our staff works daily to ensure that no Alabama family has to forgo needed medical care because of disability or heath status, their location to a hospital or specialty care provider, or financial situation.

For most of us, transportation is a given. We enjoy the luxury of our personal vehicles and never have to concern ourselves with whether or not we can travel from one place to the next. However, in every community throughout this state, children and families are suffering due to a lack of safe, reliable transportation. Ultimately, Kid One seeks to expand into all 67 counties within the state of Alabama. While there is much work to be done to reach this goal, we are confident that it can and must be done for the sake of our state’s children.
