Strawberry Creek Lodge Foundation

We are a non-profit foundation with the purpose of providing housing to the elderly, governed by a community Board of Trustees. We were formed in 1960 and our first residents moved in in 1962. In 2012-2014, our Board entered into a Limited Partnership with a management company to carry out permanent improvements to the buildings. In 2014, the Foundation sold its interest to this Limited Partnership. By an MOU with the partner, the Fondation retained rights to oversee the management of the facilities and to reclaim its ownership rights after the completion of tax credit financing.

We are a non-profit senior residence in Berkeley, established in the early 60ies. Our Board of Trustees is currently in need of additional members who can help us navigate the possibility of buying back our building after many years.

Towards this end we are seeking individuals who are committed to community life, have knowledge of and a commitment to low income senior housing and a background in project management, contracting, public health, finances, or legal services.
