History:
More than twenty years ago, Sr. Thérése DelGenio envisioned helping people who are homeless on the southwest side of Chicago and adopted the PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) model. The location and the model have changed over the years, but the vision has remained the same. Southwest Chicago PADS is now known as Southwest Chicago Homeless Services. The agency has provided a wide range of services for homeless persons in Chicago since 1993.
