The mission of WellShare International is to improve the health of women, children and their communities around the world. To further this mission in Uganda, WellShare currently operates two types of programs which address two of the major public health needs of the country: infant and mother mortality and malaria. In the districts of Ssembabule and Mubende WellShare has implemented a widespread Child Spacing Program and in Uganda's West Nile Region MIHV supports the President's Malaria Communities Partnership to address the epidemic in that region.
