Global Film Alliance

Global Film Alliance (GFA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of storytellers through the art of film. Our mission is to provide youth, emerging filmmakers, and film school graduates--especially those from underserved or diverse communities--with access to professional film education, hands-on production experience, and global platforms to share their voices. We pursue this mission by: Hosting youth film camps, children’s short film productions, and international film festivals; Building nonprofit-run film studios that serve communities and support independent productions; Supporting young filmmakers and recent graduates in creating and showcasing their original work; Fostering an inclusive, sustainable, and globally connected creative ecosystem. We believe that every child has a story worth telling, and every dream deserves a stage. Through film, we light up imaginations--and help change lives.

Global Film Alliance (GFA) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing youth empowerment, creative equity, and independent filmmaking through accessible film education and production opportunities.

Founded with the belief that storytelling is a universal right, GFA provides professional-level filmmaking experiences to children, teenagers, and emerging directors-especially those from underrepresented communities. Our programs include hands-on film workshops, seasonal production camps, professional short film shoots, and international children’s film festivals.

In addition to supporting aspiring talent, GFA actively develops nonprofit-operated film studios and creative hubs, transforming underutilized spaces into cultural centers where independent voices can thrive. We also serve as a bridge between new creators and the global film industry, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and distribution opportunities.

From classrooms to cameras, from local neighborhoods to international screenings, GFA is building a global platform where young creators can grow, shine, and be heard.
