Founded in 1893, The Chester County History Center is the official history museum, history education center, and historical repository of Chester County. Located west of the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Chester County has a population of approximately 500,000 and the highest per capita income of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. CCHC’s museum and offices are located in heart of West Chester Borough, Chester County’s county seat, where the Center stewards an extensive collection of artifacts, manuscripts, and photographs spanning hundreds of years. CCHC’s programmatic activities can occur throughout the county, and beyond.
