FRIENDS OF DOWNTOWN

Friends of Cville Downtown, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created in 2021. Our mission is to make Charlottesville a better-than-ever, more inclusive place for everyone by working with city government and the community to craft strategies and programs that stimulate Downtown social and economic vitality.

We are dedicated to to driving people and business to the downtown district and continuing its success as a space for people to connect, shop, dine, and enjoy their town. We aim to create a thriving economy, inviting atmosphere, and environment for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.

Our accomplishments include beautifying Downtown Charlottesville with public art & flowers, increasing safety with additional security officers & cameras, and building a vibrant community through regular, free placemaking events including live music, scavenger hunts, family friendly attractions, and more!
