Green Earth Institute

  • Acerca de

Green Earth Institute is a nonprofit organization established in 2002 to promote nutritional health and environmental sustainability. Using our organic farm as a demonstration and learning center, we grow healthful vegetables in an earth-friendly way and educate about nature, nutrition, and caring for the earth. On our farm, 60 acres located in the western suburbs of Chicago, we grow over 40 different vegetable and herb crops. We distribute this nutritious, delicious food through our CSA. Our community education programs include ecologically sustainable practices for home, yard, and garden, and, for children, gardening and nature appreciation. Volunteers are welcome. Applications for farm internships for the 2010 season are now being taken; send an email to Internships@greenearthinstitute.org.
