1) To enhance Edgewater’s appeal as a vibrant, pedestrian friendly, commercial district; 2) to assist existing businesses and attract new business; 3) to place original artwork in vacant properties and other commercial locations; 4) to give artists the opportunity to show their creations and contribute to the development of the community; 5) to establish Edgewater as one of the premier artistic destinations in Chicago.
